The Apprenti apprenticeship software run by the Washington Know-how Marketplace Affiliation (WTIA) was awarded a $23.5 million grant to support coach additional tech employees throughout 11 states.

The funding will come from the U.S. Section of Commerce and is aspect of the $500 million Great Work Problem funded by the American Rescue System. Apprenti, also recognised as the WTIA Workforce Institute, was among 32 assignments nationwide to be awarded a grant out of additional than 500 purposes.

Released in September 2016, Apprenti supplies cost-free training and apprenticeships for candidates seeking to function in the tech sector. It focuses on providing economic mobility to underrepresented teams. The plan suggests 85% of its participants are women of all ages, underrepresented racial minorities, navy veterans or a mix of these types.
